Davone Francis was born and raised in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. He comes to Welder Underground with a clear-eyed view of the trades — watching people with advanced degrees struggle to find work, he decided to get his foot in the door somewhere that offers real stability, real income, and a real future.

For Davone, this apprenticeship is about becoming the best version of himself. His sights are set on a union or a place like Con Edison — not as a finish line, but as a beginning. He's not taking this opportunity for granted, and that intention shows in everything he does.
